Volunteer

There are many ways to volunteer for Sea Shepherd both at sea and onshore.

Interested in joining the most active volunteer marine conservation ship crew in the world? Since Sea Shepherd was founded in 1977, hundreds of people from ages 18-80 have volunteered to crew on Sea Shepherd's various ships and campaigns. Join the ranks of veteran crewmembers who have shared in this unique life-changing, positive experience!

While space aboard the ships is limited, we look forward to considering anyone who is a Sea Shepherd member and has the enthusiasm and commitment to serve in the Whales Navy. We also have land-based volunteer opportunities at various locations in the USA and abroad. Click here to see how you can help Sea Shepherd onshore.

To be considered for our volunteer ship crew, please download and print the following crew application form:

 crew_application_01.pdf

 crew_application_01.doc

Follow the instructions, fill it out completely, then mail to:

Sea Shepherd Conservation Society
P.O. Box 2616
Friday Harbor, WA 98250
USA
You can get Adobe Acrobat Reader for free.

Please note that to be eligible for volunteer ship crew consideration, you must be or become a Sea Shepherd member (past members should update if necessary). To become a member, you can mail a membership payment (check, money order) along with the application, or go to ON-LINE DONATIONS to donate by credit card on this site.

You do not need to fill out the Crew Application Form to become a general member of Sea Shepherd, only to be considered for ship crew. If you'd like to join our membership, or help in other ways, please click here.

If you have any questions about crewing on our ships or volunteering on land, please call our international office at USA 1-360-370-5650, or email us at crew@seashepherd.org.
