Ecuador's Congress Condemns Recent Decisions and News Spreads Around the World

Ecuador's Congress approved a resolution condemning the President's recent decisions as "without technical support" and as "irresponsible" for treating the National park as political booty. The resolution also starts an investigation of Congressman Vinicio Andrade for Constitutional violation, and rejects the appointment of Fausto Cepeda as Park Director.

The Ecuadorian government should be concerned about its image abroad.
Several newspapers from Australia, the United Kingdom, Uruguay, and the United States have run stories recently about the fishermen's attack on the park rangers. As a result, some tour operators may be getting questions.
