The Farley Mowat Arrrives in Sao Luis, Brazil

The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society (SSCS) ship Farley Mowat arrived safely at the port of Sao Luis, Brazil, today (August 18th).

The ship had departed from Willemstad, Curacao, on August 6th. The twelve day voyage was skippered by Brazilian Captain Daniel Vairo (veteran SSCS volunteer crewmember) with 1st Officer Alex Cornelissen. The crew includes citizens of the United States, Great Britain, Germany, The Netherlands, Venezuela and Brazil.

Instituto Sea Shepherd Brasil (ISSB) will be coordinating the patrols for the Farley Mowat in Brazilian offshore marine reserves. Captain Paul Watson will be rejoining his ship during the last week of August.
