Galapagos National Park Seizes Shark Fins

The Galapagos National Park Rangers nabbed four suspects on Isabela Island in the Galapagos on September 10, 2003 along with a truckload of 815 shark fins.

Arrested were two fishermen, a Korean buyer, and the driver of the truck carrying the poached fins.

More details will follow in the coming days.

The Sea Shepherd patrol vessel Sirenian has been on active duty in the Galapagos National Park Marine Reserve since January of 2001 as part of a five-year contract between the Galapagos National Park and the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.
