Xavier Rudd at the Showbox, Seattle, May 5, 2011
For those of you not familiar with Xavier Rudd, he is an Australian singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He is known for his guitar, didgeridoo, and percussion skills, which create music that is rich in socially conscious themes like environmentalism and aboriginal rights. Xavier has been a steadfast supporter of Sea Shepherd campaigns over the last several years. He has hung the Sea Shepherd Jolly Roger flag on stage during his concert tours and has encouraged his followers to support Sea Shepherd and our mission. We are honored to have such a talented and dedicated musician on board with our cause.
Xavier very graciously invited Sea Shepherd Seattle to table at his concert at The ShowBox in downtown Seattle, and the event was quite a success! Our dedicated Seattle onshore volunteers sold merchandise, handed out brochures, and worked hard spreading the word about Sea Shepherd and marine conservation. Volunteers present at the event included James Bryner, Sheryl Bryner, and Stacy Elsberry. Thank you all for a job well done!
Even with a small space, the table looked great! |
