Peter Hammarstsedt Meet and Greet, Friday Harbor WA
On November 5th, Sea Shepherd hosted its first event in the future home of the Sea Shepherd Gallery, Community Outreach, and Education Center in Friday Harbor, WA! In a rare San Juan Island appearance, Peter Hammarstedt was kind enough to give a presentation about the upcoming Operation Divine Wind campaign in the Southern Ocean, followed by a meet-and-greet with local supporters and volunteers. Local staff and volunteers from our International Headquarters here on San Juan, with some support from the Seattle Chapter, were available to answer questions, sell merchandise, and take much needed donations. We had a packed house for the whole evening, so we want to thank everyone who came out to meet Peter and support our mission! Also, we would like to send a special Thank-you to Lisa and Dennis Wade, operators of the new Sea Shepherd Gallery in Friday Harbor, for making this evening possible.
The new Sea Shepherd Gallery, Community Outreach, and Education Center, located at 155 Nichols St, Friday Harbor, WA, should be completed and open soon. Keep updated on our website for details.
