On Monday April 29th, Sea Shepherd Jacksonville was honored to present a special event with Captain Alex Cornelissen. At Jacksonville Health and Wellness Center, who kindly donated the event space, Captain Cornelissen gave an exciting and informative lecture about his work with Sea Shepherd Conservation Society - from the campaigns opposing Canada's brutal seal hunt to his work as director of Sea Shepherd Galapagos. more

Sea Shepherd Dallas volunteers celebrated Earth Day at Earth Day Dallas. Volunteers spent the weekend talking to attendees about the many issues Sea Shepherd is involved in. We sold merchandise, collected donations, and signed up new members. It was a great weekend and we are very thankful for all those who stopped by the booth. more

The Sea Shepherd Jacksonville Chapter celebrated Earth Day at the Jacksonville Landing. To our surprise the event and all of the vendor tables were located inside of Mavericks, a local country bar. This was an interesting place to have the event. This was due to the rain outside. The local Girl Scouts came up with a fantastic idea to have a scavenger hunt for the kids. more

SSCS first time participating at Earth Day San Antonio was a big hit with the crowd and a successful event. Local On Shore Volunteers engaged the public and educated them on SSCS mission to protect and defend the oceans and their inhabitants. Volunteers raised awarness and funds and gained many new supporters and pontential new volunteers. more

Sea Shepherd had a table at Tampa Earth Day at USF Botanical Gardens on April 20, 2013. It was thought to be a rainy stormy day; however, the clouds didn't scare the people away. Lots of people knew who we were and were proud to see us at the event. We received lots of 'thank yous' for what we do. Overall, it was a great event and we look forward to attending the next Sea Shepherd event. It was great to see all of the supporters at Earth Day Tampa 2013. See you next year! more

Florence's Earth Day Festival turned out to be a beautiful day and went off without any problems! The Sea Shepherd outreach table went well and many guest stopped by the both to check out all the information that was provided. Some made generous donations, others took home a donation form and/or join the crew forms to fill out to send by mail. Majority of the guests were familiar with us through watching Whale Wars and I even meet a lady who already receives our E-newsletters.  more

Texas Veg Fest is an annual Austin festival that celebrates plant-based foods, with a focus on health, the environment, and compassionate living. The event promotes sustainable organic farming, Vegans and Vegetarians, and Conservation. The event featured live music, local foods, and outreach booths from conservation groups. Sea Shepherd Conservation Society had a successful day of outreach and raising awareness.  more

Florida Manatee Fest January 19-20, 2013 - Florida Manatee Fest, Crystal River, FL
This was our first year at the Florida Manatee Festival in Crystal River and the event was a huge success. The booth had plenty of traffic during the two day festival. Some of the visitors to our table were from the immediate area, however it became apparent that this Festival is known internationally.  more

Sea Shepherd was present at the 2011 Pet and Family Expo in Santa Clarita Valley and over 1500 people were in attendance. The event lasted all day and consisted of dog and cat adoptions, animal behaviorists, musical performances, and celebrities Mackenzie Phillips and Linda Blair. more

The 19th Annual Spring Boating Expo was hosted by the Michigan Boating Industry Association and was held at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan. The MBIA donated our booth and Arts Crafts Display Inc gladly donated the booth furnishings, so a huge “Thank You” goes out to them both! more

SXSW is the largest music (film and interactive) festival of the year in the United States. This year, over 125,000 hotel rooms were booked in downtown Austin and nearly 2,000 bands played during the week-long festival. more

A large crowd gathered for a very special "unveiling," and celebration of Sea Shepherd's new vessel, the Ady Gil.  Formerly known as the Earthrace, the ship will accompany the Steve Irwin on our Antarctic Whale Defense Campaign.  The crowd of over 300 guests roared their approval, as Ady Gil, the donor who made this possible, pulled back the curtain on a poster bearing an image of the vessel with it's new paint job and name.  more

This summer, Sea Shepherd Conservation Society was given a rare opportunity to engage members of the Japanese public on the issue of shark conservation at an event hosted by Japanese NGO, PangeaSeed.
