complete biography

Benjamin Baldwin (Australia)
Benjamin has been crewing with Sea Shepherd for two years now.  He got involved with the organisation after being frustrated at a lack of action on marine conservation issues, and believes that there is no excuse to allow these atrocities to continue.

Nicola Paris (Australia)
(3rd Cook) I live in Fremantle, Western Australia, a town with a long history of support for progressive issues, and with a council that has been a vocal advocate for the Sea Shepherd group. I have been involved in range of peace, social justice and environmental campaigns for a number of years.  I am happy to have the opportunity to join this Antarctic trip as I believe strongly that nonviolent direct action plays an important role in shifting public consciousness, as well as having a practical positive outcome in stopping the whalers.

Adam Styles (Australia)
I’ve been involved with various environmental groups in the past, but now I’m focussing my attention on marine conservation by playing my small part aboard the Steve Irwin. Whales are an amazing mammal species that needs to be protected for future generations to experience firsthand and not in books. Sea shepherd directly oppose the illegal killing of whales by the Japanese government and there is nowhere else I would rather be than here making a difference.
