Nicola Paris (Australia)
(3rd Cook)
I live in Fremantle, Western Australia, a town with a long history of support for progressive issues, and with a council that has been a vocal advocate for the Sea Shepherd group. I have been involved in range of peace, social justice and environmental campaigns for a number of years. I am happy to have the opportunity to join this Antarctic trip as I believe strongly that nonviolent direct action plays an important role in shifting public consciousness, as well as having a practical positive outcome in stopping the whalers. |
