Yet again the amazing people behind Canarchy are raising funds and awareness for Sea Shepherd. The on shore Melbourne volunteers and a few of the crew from the M/Y Steve Irwin and M/Y Brigitte Bardot will be at Canarchy this weekend, so come along and show your support for the amazing work they do.

Dress in you favorite pirate gear and be ready to have heaps of fun. For more information please refer to the events face book page.

    Adelaide Roller Derby: Hell on Wheels in the City of Churches!
    Adelaide

    Adelaide Showgrounds Goodwood Road, Wayville. Doors open 6 pm.

    Sea Shepherd on shore crew will be at the Adelaide Roller Derby for this first time next week, they will be showcasing some amazing merchandise, chatting to the Roller Derby fans about Marine Conservation and letting interested supporters know how to become a Sea Shepherd volunteer.

    Paddle Out for The Whales
    Gold Coast

    National Whale Day. Kirra Surf Live Saving Club, Kirra Beach.8.30 am - 4.30 pm

    Are you a fan of the beach, whales and everything to do with the ocean?

    Gold Coast’s first ever Paddle Out for the Whales, hosted by Sea Shepherd Conservation Society and IFAW is guaranteed to be a great one, with guest speakers, local entertainment and not to mention a variety of food and information stalls.

    Whether you want to join in the fun of the paddle out or simply relax with some great local music and enjoy the sunshine, the event is certainly one not to be missed!

    Logan Eco Action Festival
    Brisbane

Griffith University Logan Campus 10 am - 3 pm.

Sea Shepherd will be part of this day with a Merchandise Stall, awareness raising with activities for children and families, raffles etc. LEAF is a free community festival welcoming every one of all ages to attend, and more importantly participate. This interactive and educational event is designed to stimulate awareness about the environmental issues we face as a community, and through education empower residents to make a positive change.

  • 8th, 9th & 10th June (Queens Birthday Weekend)
    M/Y Bob Barker arrives in Sydney

    Over the Queens birthday long weekend the M/Y Bob Barker will slip into Circular Quay and dock at the overseas passenger terminal. There will be free public tours of the ship from Friday till Sunday. Friday 8-5, Saturday 10-5 & Sunday 10-4.

    The Sydney on shore crew will be having a merchandise stall at the ship and will be accepting donations of Vegan food items and much needed ship equipment. If you wish to donate please have a look at our wishlist by following this link.

    Green Week, presented by Geckos- Gold Coast and Hinterland Environment Council
    Gold Coast

    Wildlife Care Expo, Albert Waterways Hall, Broadbeach.

    Gold Coast Green Week 2012 is replacing what was known as Green Day Out.  There will be events, activities, displays, talks, and tours over the entirity of the Gold Coast.  An ‘on location’ style of presentation will allow visitors to interact directly with the environment around them.   Gold Coast Green Week 2012 will be staged from 2nd - 10th of June, and will culminate in a Wildlife Care Expo held at Albert Waterways Hall, Broadbeach.

    Bondi Whale Festival
    Sydney

    Bondi Pavilion Forecourt (outside Marine Discovery Centre) 10 am - 3.30 pm.

    Come on down to the 3rd Annual Bondi Whale Festival, where visitors can meet "Venus" a 15 metre inflatable Humpback Whale and her calf, there are great prizes to be won by decorating your own "Save the Whale Tail"and you can learn more about what you can do to protect them, from the many conservation groups at the festival including the Sydney chapter of Sea Shepherd.

    Norah Heads Whale Festival

    Norah Heads Lighthouse, Norah Heads. 10 am - 2 pm.

    Created by a passionate group of locals this festival brings the community together to raise awareness of the plight of whales.
     
     Bring the family along for all the free entertainment and activities and to chat to the on shore Sydney volunteers about Marine Conservation. For more information please call  Nikki on 0415 207 887.

    Oceanic Dive Travel and Watersports Expo (ODEX)
    Sydney

    Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre, Olympic Blvd, Sydney. 10 am - 5 pm.

    The event is a family friendly 2-day extravaganza of product showcases, media launches and seminars relating to scuba diving, dive destinations, underwater imaging, freediving and of course Marine Conservation.

    The Sydney on shore volunteer crew will be there to chat about Marine Conservation and how you can help in your area. The volunteers will also have some of our fantastic merchandise on hand for you to purchase.

Rusty’s Market has, over 30 years, developed into one of the largest, most successful & best known markets in Australia & overseas.Sea Shepherd will be hosting a stall at the markets, so come and visit, pick up some information and merchandise, and meet some of the great Sea Shepherd On-Shore Volunteers.

Davies Park Market, West End, cnr Montague Road and Jane St. Saturdays 6.00am - 1.00pm.

The wonderful new team of Brisbane Sea Shepherd Volunteers will be up early every Saturday and down at the Davies Park market, so show your support and head down there and say hi. The market has a wonderful range of local and international produce, crafts and one of a kind handmade jewelery, the market is set under a canopy of beautiful fig trees.

Sea Shepherd will be at Gorman House Markets the first Saturday of each month. The markets, set in two magnificent courtyards offer a range of locally handcrafted wares, gifts and clothing. Come down and say hello!
